Playing in a Kniziathon is a great way to enjoy a variety of Reiner Knizia's games in one place at one time. There are lots of games to try - from classics to the most recent releases (and even some which you might never have come across before). There are plenty of willing opponents and friendly organisers to help you with the rules. It's the perfect opportunity to meet games players and enjoy exciting games - and if you are doing well, you might even win a prize! Kniziathons have been run successfully over the last few years at many games conventions. Check below for information on upcoming Kniziathons. (Hint to organisers: email us and let us know it's happening!).

Just a few simple steps will produce a successful and enjoyable Kniziathon:

• Get together as good a selection of Reiner's games as can be found. (Check the weighted game list below or consult the complete Reiner Knizia Ludography in the, er, Ludography section.)
• Find a suitable place with large tables on which to play the games. (Provide room for at least a dozen players - but more is better, as some Kniziathons have had over 100 participants!)
• Set aside a few hours so that people have the maximum opportunity to play a wide range of Reiner's games - from Modern Art to Tigris & Euphrates, Lost Cities to Lord of the Rings.
• Print off a few copies of the Kniziathon Player Materials and Game Lists, and prepare a large poster on which to track the players' scores.

There have been Kniziathons running at numerous game conventions all over the world for the last few years. Each year, one of these is selected as the official top tournament, at which a "certain game designer" is likely to appear in person.
